Ukraine’s defense forces inflicted losses on Russian invaders causing their retreat.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The incident happened at the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

In the morning report, the servicemen noted that on the Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian invaders shelled civilian infrastructure around Vremivka, Poltavka, Chervone, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Kamianske, and other towns and villages.

Russian aircraft were also deployed near Olhivske.

“As a result of the actions taken by the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the enemy suffered significant losses and retreated near the settlements of Novopil and Novodarivka,” the General Staff announced.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the enemy is firing intensively all over the contact line in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

The situation remains challenging but controlled.

The Defense Ministry Spokesperson noted that the main goal of the enemy is to surround the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk districts and reach the administrative border of the Luhansk Region.

It was also pointed out that the invaders are trying to increase the capabilities of combined arms units.

For this purpose the invaders could use 90th Guards Tank Division’s Terminator tank support fighting vehicles.

On the Sievierodonetsk front, the enemy attacks Shchedryshcheve-Sievierodonetsk, Oskolonivka-Borivske, and Nyzhnie-Toshkivka directions.
