Stabilization measures in Kherson are ongoing, thus Ukrainian special services again detained a “high-ranking” traitor.

The man was the head of a branch of a “bank for international settlements” that operated in the occupied territories of southern Ukraine.

The press service of the SSU reported about this.

They note that it was through this “financial institution” that Gauleiter Volodymyr Saldo tried to set up more than 200 banking “representative offices” of Russia in the region.

And most of these funds were to finance the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine.

In addition, the experience of creating a network of Russian “banks for settlements” in the captured territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions was used to implement the “project”.

The detainee is a former employee of a local bank. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he supported the occupiers and agreed to head one of the branches of a Russian bank.

He set up his workplace in the building of the captured state bank. Heading the invaders’ bank, the “official” forced local entrepreneurs to switch to commercial settlements in Russian rubles and deduct part of the profits for the benefit of the occupation administration.

After the liberation of Kherson from the invaders, the man tried to hide in one of the city’s hospitals. However, he was tracked down and detained.

SSU investigators informed the accused about the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 111-2 (Assistance to the aggressor state) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail.

As previously reported, the day before in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region, lists of collaborators were found, among the discovered items there are personal files of the employees of the so-called occupation police department.
