The occupation authorities are reinforcing the defense on the streets of Melitopol.

Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov announced this in his Telegram channel. He noted that the Russian military has been setting up fortifications in the city for two days already.

“For two days, Russians have been placing concrete cones in the very center of Melitopol, which is still occupied. Following the best traditions, Russian “dragon’s teeth” are placed closer to civilians – in the middle of the central streets and residential districts,” he wrote.

The Ria-Melitopol Telegram channel also reported on the construction of concrete obstacles in the city. Local residents reported that “dragon’s teeth” are being installed in the city center.

It is also reported that the road leading to the prosecutor’s office building was closed with concrete blocks from the side of Universitetska Street.

Reports show that the invaders are setting up similar defense lines near almost every village in the Melitopol district.

At the same time, the concrete obstacles are manufactured locally, with urgently launched production lines.

As previously reported, the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the Russian military is strengthening the coastline in Crimea.

In this way, they would try to prevent threats from the sea.
