In the Kursk region, an unknown drone attacked the Russian Khalino Air Base near Kursk.

Russian Telegram groups report that the attack took place not without casualties at the airbase.

“The downed drone fell in the area of the military airfield. During the inspection of the place of the fall, its self-destruction occurred. Unfortunately, there are casualties,” the media of the Russian Federation said.

The drone attack was confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“With the help of the duty air defense facilities, the unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the Kursk region,” the Russian MoD said in a statement.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation hid information about the casualties at the airbase.

According to the invaders, the downed drone is equipped with special sensors that power the warhead while trying to inspect the UAV.

“A self-liquidator is placed on them. During the inspection, the warhead explodes,” the Russians say.

Also, a video appeared on the Telegram social media, which shows smoke coming from the scene of the fall of an unknown drone.

Blogger Andrii Smoliy claims that explosions thundered at a military airfield in Kursk, as a result of which there were casualties among enemy personnel.

He recalled that from time to time, Iranian Shahed loitering munition was launched from the territory of this strategic facility in the direction of Ukraine.
