In the Kharkiv region, one of the Territorial Defense battalions pushed back the Russian military and reached a section of Ukraine–Russia state border.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on this by releasing a video on social networks.
“The 227th Battalion of the 127th Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Kharkiv city pushed back the Russians and reached a section of the state border,” said the statement.
In a released video, the Ukrainian servicemen report on their successes to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Reporting that the 227th Battalion of the 127th Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reached the border and the line of contact with the aggressor country. We have arrived, Mr. President. We are here. We’re on the border.”
However, it is not clear why the serviceman in the video names the recording date as April 15, not May.
Previously, the Ukrainian defense forces launched a counteroffensive operation in the Izyum direction in the Kharkiv region.
While retreating, the enemy is mining private courtyards, forestries, and roadsides. Currently, the careful work of Ukrainian deminers is ongoing.
The invaders are trying to prevent the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine to move forward to the rear of the Russian groups in the area of Izyum.
Russia also continues increasing the number of its troops in the Belgorod region to stop the advance of the Ukrainian forces to the border.
Previously, the KRAKEN Regiment released a video of a military operation of liberating the village of Pytomnyk in the Kharkiv region, control of which was reclaimed on May 11.
