In the Belgorod region of Russia, due to allegedly shot down missiles, the movement of trains has been suspended.
This was stated by the authorities of the Russian region.
It is reported that in the Novooskol district of the region, in the area of the railway track, fragments of missiles have fallen.
According to the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on the morning of October 14, air defense systems allegedly shot down several missiles in the Novy Fragmentation area.
The wreckage was said to have fallen near the railway, damaging power lines. Train service was temporarily suspended.
Photos posted on social media show the remains of the ammunition, such as the tail part, which looks like a Tochka-U missile.
Images showcased that the railway track and power line supports had suffered serious damage.
There are no separate sections of track, the rest are deformed. This may indicate that the rocket exploded after falling.
This probably caused such damage to the transport infrastructure.
We ought to remind that yesterday, October 13, a large-scale fire broke out near Belgorod at an ammunition depot.
Social media reported that this happened in the area of the village of Oktyabrsky. At the scene of the incident, eyewitnesses heard the sounds of detonation and saw a fire.
The village of Oktyabrskoye is located about 20 kilometers from Belgorod.
