The Ukrainian military is resisting a full-scale Russian invasion at various areas of the front.

In particular, in Donbas, the defense forces are inflicting heavy losses on the Russians, who are trying to storm Ukrainian fortified positions.

The Command of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported that in the Bakhmut area, Ukrainian paratroopers took over the combat position of the Russian invaders, destroying the enemy’s manpower.

Units of the 71st Separate Jager Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces participated in neutralizing the invaders.

The military released a video featuring taken enemy positions where the bodies of the killed Russian invaders in and around the trench were recorded.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the Russian invaders continue focusing their main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions.

The Russians do not spare their soldiers and equipment just to capture the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. This has been going on for over a month.

The city is being shelled round the clock by artillery and mortars, the enemy is occasionally trying to use its aviation here, and fierce shooting battles between the Ukrainian defenders and the Russian invaders are happening on the outskirts of the settlement.

Primarily due to the resilience of the Ukrainian infantry and the work of the artillerymen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Bakhmut remains Ukrainian despite all attempts by the Russians to capture or surround it.

The 71st Separate Jager Brigade is a formation of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, which was created immediately after the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian invaders into Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Already in April, the Brigade’s units participated in combat operations in the Kharkiv region, and since June 2022, they have also been involved in Donbas.

Previously, in the Donetsk region, the Ukrainian military neutralized assault groups of the so-called Wagner PMC in several directions.
