The Russian invaders left their modern Т-90 “Proryv” (Breakthrough) tank in the village of Robotyne.
Footage from a Ukrainian drone capturing an abandoned tank in the village was published in the Force Major Telegram group.
The author of the channel noted that the battles for the settlement are still ongoing. Presumably, the military does not yet have access to an abandoned tank.
In the video, the American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle is covering the Ukrainian infantry near a Russian tank in Robotyne.
The Russian loss is also confirmed by the fact that the invaders are trying to destroy this T-90 tank so that it does not get to the Ukrainian forces relatively intact.
Russian paratroopers are striking their tank with the Lancet loitering munition.
However, the Russian video shows that one strike is not enough to penetrate the tank’s armor and destroy it.
On the morning of August 22, the Ukrainian authorities have already officially announced that the Armed Forces entered the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
This settlement is important, and heavy battles for it have been ongoing for three months.
“The soldiers of the 47th Brigade, which entered the village of Robotyne with battle, organized the evacuation of civilians on the Bradley IFVs. Our warriors are performing planned combat missions and destroying the enemy,” Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defense, reported.
In response, the Russians are continuously shelling Robotyne with artillery, and hostilities continue, the representative of the Ministry of Defense said.
It is worth noting that the settlement lies on the highway between Orikhiv and Tokmak. This logistics hub of the Russian army is about 20 kilometers away from Robotyno. Further from Tokmak lies the city of Melitopol – one of the main targets of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
