On the night of March 6, drones from the SSU’s Alpha Special Operations Center struck an aircraft repair plant and an airbase in Crimea.
This was reported by sources in the special services to the publication Babel.
The SSU drones hit the production workshops of the Yevpatoria aircraft repair plant, as well as military equipment positions near the Dzhankoy airfield in the village of Pushkino.
Preliminary information indicates that during the attack, the drones struck:
“We are purposefully knocking out the enemy’s air defense systems, drones, and equipment to weaken its ability to cover its bases and strike Ukrainian cities,” said an informed source in the SSU.
The Russians have been using Iranian Mohajer-6 drones against Ukraine since 2022. That same year, one of them was shot down for the first time.
This drone, which went into production in 2017, is designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, reconnaissance, and fire damage (it can carry up to four munitions). The Mohajer-6 has a maximum takeoff weight of 600 kg, a payload of 100 kg, and a flight range of up to 200 km. The drone’s maximum speed is 200 km/h, flight duration is up to 12 hours, and maximum altitude is 5,400 m.
