During the first 9 months of 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and authorized 17 mine clearance vehicles for use in the Ukrainian Defense Forces, including 5 of Ukrainian-made production.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported on this.
The Ukrainian gunsmiths produce the tracked mine trawls, mine clearance vehicles, individual demining kits and modern pulse metal detectors required by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The foreign mine clearance vehicles codified for the Ukrainian Defense Forces include the Croatian chain and roller trawls, the German integrated mine protection and mine detection systems, the British cutter and roller trawls, demining systems, the American engineering armored vehicles, etc.
The domestic manufacturers of ground robotic systems are also actively involved in the production of mine clearance equipment.
The Ministry of Defense has already codified several samples, which effectively perform demining functions: Zmii, Vepr, FOX 2.
As Militatnyi reported on October 11, this year the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and authorized 70 engineering vehicles for use in the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Of these, 47 are Ukrainia-made and 23 are foreign-made.
In particular, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been approved for use by the Ukrainian companies to provide anti-collision protection for military equipment, maintenance modules, and modular shelters.
As well as the unified smoke bombs, generators and power storage devices (power banks), camouflage kits, etc.
As previously reported, there are currently 56 certified mine action operators in Ukraine, which is many times more than before the full-scale invasion.
As of February 24, 2022, there were only a few mine action operators in Ukraine who had passed the required certification.
Now, given the huge need for them due to the Russian full-scale invasion, their number has increased to 56.
