Hospitainer has handed over a mobile field hospital to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to save the lives of wounded soldiers.
The Dutch manufacturer said that the main feature of the hospital was its low-temperature adaptation.
“Soon this hospital will be used by military medics to save the lives of wounded soldiers in the east,” the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said.
This is the last of field hospitals that are provided by one of the projects of the Dutch manufacturer Hospitainer.
In 2022, it was reported that a company from the Netherlands would send a batch of mobile hospitals to Ukraine.
Representatives of Hospitainer, the charitable foundation and International Medical Corps (IMC) reached an agreement with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to rebuild damaged Ukrainian hospitals with the participation of Hospitainer and IMC.
A field hospital is a key element in providing aid to victims of hostilities.
Its tasks are to identify, stabilize, and, if necessary, make a surgical intervention on victims before they are taken to the hospital.
Ukraine received Role II mobile hospitals.
Usually, this type of hospital includes: tents, containers, or, as a rule, both; outpatient department; several wards, including isolation wards and intensive care units. The hospital also includes operating, pre-operative and post-operative units, dental department, laboratory and radiological departments, support and administration of the hospital.
The mobile hospital, which was transferred to Ukraine, includes an operating theater, intensive care wards with 36 beds, and a unit for medical staff.
As previously reported, the National Guard of Ukraine has already received eight modern field hospitals from the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
