An M142 HIMARS rocket system, in coordination with an aerial reconnaissance drone, destroyed a Russian Pantsyr-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system.

The Come Back Alive Foundation published this news on its Telegram.

The Russian complex was destroyed 30 kilometers south of Donetsk, where it was supposed to provide air defense for enemy units.

Due to the “Shadow” aerial reconnaissance unit, the system was detected, and the coordinates of its location were transferred to one of the Ukrainian artillery units.

Two missiles were used to destroy the Russian Pantsir-S1 SAM. The first missile damaged it, and the second caused enough damage to set the anti-aircraft module and the entire system on fire.

After the second missile strike, the crew of the system abandoned the vehicle and tried to flee across the fields toward their own positions.

HIMARS missile system, which use M31 precision-guided missiles, allows the Ukrainian Defense Forces to destroy Russian air defense systems at distances of over 50 km.

It should be noted that the Shark UAV, which was purchased by the Come Back Alive Foundation, was used to detect and correct fire.

“We handed over a brand new Shark to the scouts about a month ago, but the ground vehicle and mobile control center are one of 25 delivered to the Defense Forces as part of the “Eye for an Eye” project,” the Come Back Alive Foundation stated.

Previously, Militarnyi reported that the Marines received five mobile command and control centers for unmanned aerial vehicles from the Come Back Alive Foundation.

The control centers with workplaces for UAV pilots were designed by the Foundation’s specialists based on passenger vans, incorporating combat experience and the wishes of the marines.

These vehicles have been re-equipped with essential items to ensure the crews’ mobility and comfort during combat missions.
