Lithuanian drone manufacturer Granta Autonomy purchases components for its FPV drones from Ukrainian manufacturers.
Gediminas Guoba, the company’s CEO, shared this with Militarnyi in an interview.
According to him, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find the necessary components, so from the very beginning, Granta Autonomy turned its attention to the Ukrainian market: Ukrainian companies managed to establish mass production of key parts.
Currently, Granta Autonomy still buys engines in China but is actively exploring the possibility of switching to Ukrainian analogs.
Guoba believes that purchasing components from China actually means “feeding” a potential enemy.
He also emphasized the importance of supporting companies that deploy the production of critical components locally.
The company’s CEO added that Lithuania has already launched the production of electronics and frames for FPV drones.
In December 2024, Militarnyi published a “No More “Made in China”: Ukraine Inches Closer to Self-Sufficient FPV Drone Manufacturing” article.
The article outlined that one of the leading companies establishing local production of drones is the Ukrainian Vyriy drone.
Today, it mass-produces 10-inch FPV copters consisting of 70% Ukrainian components.
In particular, Ukrainian companies have already launched the production of frames, propellers, electronics, thermal imaging modules, and other components.
It is also important to understand that drones produced in Ukraine are designed specifically for military requirements, which the Chinese market cannot fully offer.
