In 2025, Germany will transfer 370,000 artillery shells to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was stated by Major General Christian Freuding, Head of the Planning and Command Staff of the German Ministry of Defense.
He also noted that, compared to 2024, the amount of ammunition planned for transfer has increased by 30,000 units.
In addition, the first six RCH 155 wheeled self-propelled howitzers are expected to be delivered this year, and crew training for them is already underway.
As previously reported, Ukraine is to receive 54 of these systems, the first of which was delivered on January 13 and is being used for crew training.
In addition, in 2025, 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen, from medics to snipers, will be trained in Germany.
On February 17, it was reported that Germany updated the list of military aid for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, adding more armored vehicles, anti-aircraft missiles, ammunition, armored vehicles and other weapons.
The new aid package includes 56 MRAP armored vehicles, additional ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks and Marder infantry fighting vehicles.
Germany will also transfer from Bundeswehr warehouses and purchase 241,000 ammunition for Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and 282,000 rounds of ammunition for self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.
Ukrainian air defense will receive the IRIS-T SLS and SLM missiles.
The small arms will include HK 416, MK 556, CR 308 assault rifles, HLR 338 precision rifles, MG5 machine guns and a limited number of AK-47 assault rifles.
The German army, together with the defense industry, will provide 60 million rounds of ammunition for small arms and 74,000 40mm grenades.
