Germany transferred another military aid package to Ukraine, which included, in particular, the first Bandvagn 206 all-terrain vehicles.

The website of the German government lists that the first 8 tracked all-terrain vehicles were shipped to Ukraine.

In addition to them, the new delivery included 2,000 ammunition for Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.

Also, 14 VECTOR drones, 16 units of auto equipment, 3 drone detection systems, 2 8×8 HX81 truck tractor trains, and 11,000 group module rations were sent to Ukraine.

In total, Germany has committed to supply Ukraine with 64 Bandvagn 206 (BV206) tracked all-terrain vehicles.

Bandvagn 206 equipment is already obsolete for Germany, and it is being replaced by newer BvS10 all-terrain vehicles.

Modern models differ from previous Bv206s by a more powerful 5.9-liter Cummins diesel engine and improved ground clearance, transmission, and steering.

Also, the BvS10 has a load capacity of up to 5 tons and the ability to add various modular subsystems, such as additional armor or weapon mounts.

BV206 tracked all-terrain vehicles are developed by the Swedish company Haegglinds. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already using this equipment, as the partners have transferred it before, although it was not officially announced.

In particular, the Ukrainian military could have received such vehicles from the Netherlands, Italy, and the UK.

Germany also has an armored version of the Bandvagn 206S in service. The armored vehicle provides protection against small arms fire and small artillery debris. For self-defense, the carrier is equipped with a ring mount for one 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun.

This all-terrain vehicle was designed to work in arctic, desert, or jungle conditions. It can transport a driver and 11 fully equipped soldiers.
