Russian infantry fighting vehicles were trapped by German mines in the Donetsk region.
Footage of these mines was published by a Ukrainian politician — Yurii Misyagin.
The Russian armored vehicles BMP-1 fell under the cumulative jet of DM22 mines.
They were installed near the road in the area of the occupied city of Spartak.
A lot of new weapons from partner countries have recently appeared in the arsenals of Ukrainian defenders.
Among them are PARM (Panzerabwehrrichtmine) anti-tank mines in the DM22 version.
The advantage of DM22 over conventional anti-tank mines is an ability to inflict significantly more damage on enemy’s armored vehicles.
Widely used today, conventional anti-armor mines usually destroy tank tracks or, at best, rollers.
In the case of DM22 mine actuation damage to the hull of armored vehicles or tanks and their crews.
Such mines are usually used as a mine barrier in the places of the most likely enemy breakthrough.
The defeat of the enemy’s vehicles is caused by the explosion of a cumulative grenade ejected from the machine by a bouncer powder charge.
An explosively formed projectile, after penetrating the hull, damages the internal equipment of the vehicle, and the high temperature of the jet and splashing of the melted armor cause a fire inside the vehicle.
