Ukrainian servicemen were trained in 14 partner countries.
This was announced at a briefing by Oleksiy Hromov, the head of the main operational department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the training, the soldiers honed their combat skills and learned to use foreign models of weapons and military equipment.
According to the brigadier general, more than 4,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already completed the training.
“These are more than 2,000 artillerymen, 500 specialists each in the use of multiple rocket launchers and air defense.
Almost 200 people were trained in the operation and maintenance of anti-tank weapons.
About 100 more Ukrainian specialists have mastered the operation and maintenance of radar systems,” said the deputy chief of the main operational department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As previously reported, the High Representative of the EU on foreign and defense policy, Josep Borrell, said the EU and individual member states will continue to provide Ukraine with the necessary military support in even larger volumes.
“The European Union stands united in support of Ukraine and the Member States remain ready to continue supporting [Ukraine] as long and as much as needed,” Borrell said.
He noted that this is about the flow of military support, which does not stop, but even increases.
Several EU countries are in support of the idea of establishing a New Training Mission to boost the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Sweden has officially agreed to consider providing Ukraine with Archer self-propelled artillery systems and RBS 70 MANPADS.
