The Russian invasion forces are trying to establish full control over the territory of the Luhansk region.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its morning briefing.
The enemy seeks to overcome the resistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is moving its units.
Yesterday, in the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Kryva Luka, Kuzmynivka, and Hryhorivka with barrel and jet artillery. Attempting to disrupt the control and communication systems of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is actively using radio-electronic warfare complexes.
In the Bakhmut direction, the invaders shelled the areas of Ivano-Daryivka, Semyhiria, and Vuhlehirska TPP with barrel artillery. An air strike was launched near Spirne.
In the Avdiyivka, Kurakhivka, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy is conducting systematic fire attacks at the positions of the Defense Forces units to constrain their actions.
Previously, Serhii Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, assured that the territory of the Luhansk region is not completely seized by the Russian troops.
“And they were going to take Kyiv in three days. In over four months, the Russians only passed 30 km of the Luhansk region.
Luhansk region is not 100% occupied. Fighting continues on the outskirts of the region. Russians continue to suffer losses,” Haidai wrote in his Telegram.
Also, according to the General Staff, Russia maintains separate military units in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
Currently, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to systematically destroy the means of defeating the enemy. Special attention is now being paid to artillery and enemy ammunition storage sites.
Yesterday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an attempt of the enemy’s attack in the area of Dovhenke.
