France and the United States conducted joint maneuvers in space as part of the multinational Operation Olympic Defender initiative.

This is reported by the French media opex360.

The operation included coordination between partners and practicing maneuvers near another spacecraft.

According to reports, French and American satellites took part in the maneuvers.

COMSPOC’s observations indicate that the US spacecraft USA 324 approached the French Syracuse 3A by about 25 km.

The maneuvers took place in several stages in November. Neither side disclosed technical details.

The military departments emphasized that the operations were aimed at practicing a joint ability to act “dynamically and responsibly” to protect common interests in space.
