In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Ukrainian forces freed two soldiers from enemy captivity using FPV drones.
The soldiers had been captured during a clearing operation in a populated area, the 225th Assault Regiment reported.
The rescue operation involved coordinated efforts from multiple units.
FPV drones played a crucial role, allowing Ukrainian forces to control the situation and isolate the enemy from the captives.
Afterwards, a precision strike was launched on the enemy positions holding the Ukrainian soldiers.
As a result, the enemy forces were eliminated, allowing the captives to be freed.
Both soldiers were evacuated from the combat zone.
The operation was made possible due to the coordinated actions of the units and their rapid response to changing circumstances.
“This case demonstrates the effectiveness of FPV drones in executing complex tactical missions, particularly during the liberation of captives,” the Morok unit of the 225th Assault Regiment noted.
They also added that the incident highlights the importance of coordination between units to protect the lives of servicemen.
Recently, two soldiers from the 225th Assault Regiment captured six Russian invaders.
