Over the past week alone, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have destroyed or damaged ten Russian artillery systems and MLRS with the help of attack drones.

On October 13, in the south near Kremenchyk, Donetsk region (here), a Shadow unit discovered and destroyed a Russian 152-mm Msta-S self-propelled howitzer hidden in a windbreak, which was firing at Ukrainian troops.

As a result of the armor penetration and hitting the ammunition rack, the ammunition instantly detonated, tearing the vehicle’s hull apart from the inside.

A rather rare Soviet Giatsint-S self-propelled gun disguised in a similar way was hit by soldiers of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade (here) east of the village of Kropyvnytske, Donetsk region.

On October 6, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have, for the first time, hit the Russian 2S40 Flox self-propelled howitzer/mortar carrier, a batch of which was received only in early October.

The footage shows the detection of a Russian artillery system by a Ukrainian FPV drone and its being hit in the aft part while driving on the road.

Also during the week, Ukrainian FPV drones hit and destroyed another 2S9 Nona-S self-propelled mortar, and damaged two (1, 2) Msta-B towed howitzers and one D-20 towed gun-howitzer.

In addition, the drones hit a 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer and a BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher. The latter, as a result of hitting the tubes and burning ammunition, accidentally fired missiles at nearby buildings with invaders.

The high effectiveness of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles is due to the large number of attack drones provided by volunteers, as well as coordination with reconnaissance units that detect targets.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian military has recently demonstrated the use of FPV drones with airburst munition, which helped defeat a large group of Russian infantry.
