In the village of Rivnopillia in the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian FP-2 drones struck houses used by Russian drone operators.
The 475th Separate Assault Regiment “CODE 9.2” performed the strike, the CyberBoroshno community reported.
According to available information, the occupied settlement was hosting FPV drone operators from the Russian Rubikon unit.
Before the attack, a Ukrainian Shark reconnaissance drone conducted aerial surveillance of the area and identified the targets. A Vampire hexacopter was then deployed to коррект the strikes and ensure accurate hits.
Under the cover of darkness, FP-2 kamikaze drones were launched against enemy positions, striking buildings where occupying troops were stationed.
The Ukrainian company Fire Point developed the unmanned aerial vehicle, which was officially presented in 2025.
It follows the basic design of the FP-1 drone, which is intended to strike targets deep in the enemy’s rear.
Meanwhile, the FP-2’s range was reduced from 1,400 km to 200 km, while the weight of its warhead was increased to 105 kilograms.
The drone is produced in several variants: one with autonomous guidance for strikes against static targets, and another with manual radio control for engaging moving targets.
“FP-2 stands for Front Strike. It has an increased warhead weight of up to 100 kg. It is used against concentrations of enemy personnel, frontline depots, logistics, trains, and bridges. It is also employed against heavily fortified positions that artillery cannot reach,” a representative of the Fire Point company said.
In January, it was announced that Fire Point had established in-house production of more than 97% of the engine components for its long-range FP-1/2 strike drones.
