Several soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine stopped the Russian offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region, near Robotyne.
Four soldiers from the Maori Battalion of the 3rd Rapid Reaction Brigade “Spartan” of the National Guard of Ukraine met the Russian invaders.
“On February 19, four soldiers fought an unequal battle against 3 units of military equipment with armored infantry,” the Brigade reported.
This convoy was moving to Robotyne to reinforce other invaders who had taken up positions in the village.
Three BTR-82s of the Russian military were moving towards the western outskirts of the settlement.
The first APC hit a TM-62 mine, and the second was hit with a grenade launcher.
The third managed to land infantry, which engaged in a small arms battle with the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine.
“Thanks to the demonstrated courage, as well as the support of mortars, drones, and artillery, the enemy was stopped and eliminated,” the brigade reported.
The Brigade noted that soldiers of the Maori Battalion near Robotyne were injured and are currently undergoing treatment, waiting to return to duty.
The invaders have become more active in this area. They are trying to actively conduct offensive actions and thus have the opportunity to reach Robotyne.
The General Staff stated that Ukrainian defense forces repelled six enemy attacks over the past day in the Zaporizhzhia sector near Robotyne.
As previously reported, Ukrainian defense forces liberated the village of Robotyne at the end of August last year.
