Lithuania and Estonia have also closed their airspace during the Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 military exercises.
In total, four European countries have now restricted their airspace for the period from September 12 to 16, according to the ASTRA international independent outlet.
“Four countries have already restricted their airspace during the exercises: Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia,” analysts from the information channel noted.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk described the Russian-Belarusian military exercises as quite aggressive in terms of military doctrine.
“Polish forces recorded 19 drone incursions into the country’s airspace overnight,” Tusk stated.
In addition, he noted that a significant number of the drones entered the country from Belarus.
As previously reported, large-scale military maneuvers involving Russian troops have begun in Belarus.
Previously, large Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 exercises, scheduled to take place from September 12 to 16 and involving about 13,000 military personnel from both countries, were announced on official and private social media accounts.
