Konstantin Zavizenov, the “ex-minister” of the so-called LPR, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in the Moscow region.
The VCHK-OGPU Telegram channel reported this late on October 1, citing its own sources.
In August 2022, Russia appointed him the so-called “Minister” of the Fuel, Energy, and Coal Industry in the occupied Luhansk region.
It is noted that the body of 50-year-old Zavizenov was found in the Istra district on a plot in his country house with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found his minor son and several hunting rifles in the house.
According to the boy, Zavizenov allegedly drank vodka and talked to him about life. Then he planned to go to a hotel to sleep and, in the morning, take his guns and go hunting in Kamchatka.
According to the sources of the Russian telegram channel, the “ex-minister” of the so-called LPR allegedly could have committed suicide.
He was reportedly in the process of divorcing his wife, and ten days ago, he sent a message to his family and friends saying “goodbye” without explaining it.
Konstantin Zavizenov is a native of the Russian city of Perm. He had experience working in the investment departments of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Energy, and the Rosenergoatom concern.
In August 2022, Zavizenov was appointed “Minister” of the Fuel, Energy, and Coal Industry of the LPR terrorist group.
In early February, Aleksey Poteshchenko, so-called “head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR, was killed in a missile attack in temporarily occupied Lysychansk.
He was appointed “minister” by Russia in September 2023, where he worked for five months until the day of his elimination.
