Sauli Niinistö, President of Finland, agreed to the Government’s proposal to provide Ukraine with another aid package worth over € 20 million.

This will be the seventh assistance package provided by Finland.
The Ministry of Defense of the country does not disclose the detailed contents and the schedule of the shipment. Such measures are related to the safety of delivering this aid to Ukraine.
“I would say that this is a significant aid package,” said Miikka Punnionen, Special Assistant to the Finnish Defense Minister.
In total, the cost of seven packages of defense aid to Finland is estimated at €88.16 million.
The details of the previous assistance from Finland were also not disclosed, but it was noted that the main focus was on Ukraine’s armaments requests.
As previously reported, Finland and Sweden signed a protocol to join NATO. After the protocol signing, the process of ratifying the membership of both countries in the North Atlantic Alliance was launched.
