The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Russian Msta-S ACS during counter-offensive actions in the Kherson region.

The enemy`s self-propelled gun was destroyed by soldiers of the 45th Artillery Brigade. The military released a video of its combat mission.

M982 Excalibur precision artillery ammunition was used to neutralize the Msta-S.

The Russians deployed firing positions of the self-propelled artillery units immediately near the road amidst the trees in the forest side between the two fields.

They made attempts to counteract the advance of Ukrainian forces deep into the occupied Kherson region.

The Ukrainian military, judging by the published footage, discovered the Msta-S self-propelled guns position using a reconnaissance drone.

After that, they decided to use Excalibur to guarantee the defeat of the Russian invaders.

The high-precision ammunition, which Ukrainian gunners fired at the Russians coordinates, with the high accuracy hit one of the detected self-propelled guns. The ACS caught fire and ammunition inside the vehicle began detonating.

The footage showcased one Russian soldier trying to escape and the uniform on him burning.

Earlier, a video of how the process of preparing and programming Excalibur continued before firing from the M777 howitzer, appeared in social media.

It should be reminded that the provision of M982 Excalibur shells to Ukraine became known in July this year. Then the United States promised Ukraine 1,000 precision-guided ammunition for 155mm artillery as part of a new $400 million military aid package.

Ukraine can receive Excalibur rounds not only from the United States. In April, foreign media assumed that the Canadian government was also planning to provide the Ukrainian army with a certain number of such shells.
