In the Zaporizhzhia region, the Ukrainian military has targeted a Russian electronic warfare station and artillery.

MP Yurii Mysiahin published a video of the destruction of the Borisoglebsk-2 EW system.

The Russians tried to hide their electronic warfare weapon system in a forest, but the Ukrainian reconnaissance drone managed to spotted it.

The main task of this system is to detect and suppress various communication channels and other systems that use radio signals.

First of all, these are communication and control systems of the tactical level, in particular the satellite ones. In addition, there is a possibility of suppression of radio navigation systems.

All technical equipment of the system are mounted on self-propelled MT-LB chassis, which ensures high mobility and passability.

The released video features the BM-21 Grad 122-mm MRL, which they tried to hide among the trees.

The politician also reported that in the Zaporizhzhia region, the Ukrainian military managed to hit the Russian 152-mm 2S5 Giatsint-S self-propelled gun.

It is worth noting that the video shows that the Russian military used this position for a long time. The position had numerous tracks near the road, which helped to detect the Russian artillery faster.

Presumably, it increased the chance of detection of Russian artillery by a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone flying around the roads.

As previously reported, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar said that in the Zaporizhzhia region Ukrainian forces were gradually advancing in the direction of Berdiansk and Melitopol. Valerii Shershen, a spokesman for the joint press center of the Tauride Defense Forces also states that there is partial success in the Berdiansk region.

“We have partial success in the Berdiansk direction. Having advanced along the front line, our shock units and military units are entrenched at the reached boundaries, and are performing aerial reconnaissance of the area, inflicting damage on enemy targets, carrying out counter-battery combat, and demining,” the statement says.
