Estonia plans to provide more than €100 million in military aid to Ukraine next year, the country’s defense ministry announced.
The announcement came during a meeting between Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur and Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Pevkur said most of the funds will go toward procuring weapons from Estonia’s defense industry.
The pledge is part of Estonia’s commitment to allocate 0.25% of its GDP to military aid for Ukraine over the next four years.
The two sides also discussed recent incidents in Poland, where Russian drones violated Polish airspace.
“The violation of Polish and NATO airspace on such a scale is unprecedented and unacceptable. Russia bears full responsibility for this. Our focus must remain on putting pressure on Russia as the aggressor and helping Ukraine to end the war,” Pevkur said.
Pevkur also met with Ukrainian servicemen, who shared battlefield experiences and emphasized the importance of continued Western support.
