Estonia has provided Ukraine with a new military aid package, which includes ammunition and food packages for the military.

Kristen Michal, Prime Minister of Estonia, stated this on his official page on the X network.

Estonia transferred 10,000 artillery shells to Ukraine as part of this military aid package.

The aid package also includes 750,000 food packages for the military.

The Prime Minister added that at the earliest opportunity, this package will be supplemented with Estonian defense products worth more than €100 million.

“The future depends on Ukraine. You can always count on Estonia’s support,” the Prime Minister wrote.

After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Estonia was one of the first countries to support Ukraine in its struggle, and despite its own limitations, it started to actively support Ukraine.

This military aid package was announced on November 11, 2024, when Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.

Zelenskyy reported that during the meeting, he thanked Pevkur for the new package and the decision to allocate 0.25% of GDP per year to help Ukraine, which is enshrined in the bilateral security agreement.

In addition to the military aid announcement, the Estonian Defense Minister also announced the launch of a new annual program to support Estonian military companies in the near future.

This will allow for the transfer of aid to Ukraine not only from the Estonian military but also products from the Estonian defense industry.

In addition, the IT Coalition, created to help Ukraine under the leadership of Estonia and Luxembourg, raised almost €500 million in its first year.

During the year, the coalition member countries provided bilateral assistance in the IT sector worth €410 million, and €72 million was raised for joint procurement.

Militarnyi previously reported that the Ukrainian military will test anti-aircraft missiles from the Estonian defense company Frankenburg Technologies.

The first missiles for testing will be delivered by the end of 2024. These missiles are capable of shooting down targets at an altitude of up to 2 kilometers.
