This Thursday, the government of Estonia decided to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package.
Hanno Pevkur, the Minister of Defence reported about this, European Pravda writes.
The aid mostly includes individual equipment for the Ukrainian military.
“We continue to support Ukraine and today we approved a new aid package for Ukrainian servicemen.
The package mostly includes individual equipment, therefore this is what the Ukrainians specifically asked us for,” Pevkur said.
According to the minister, the new package will include winter field uniforms, personal protective equipment, and drones.
Pevkur did not disclose the cost of additional military aid to Ukraine.
However, the head of the defense ministry of the Baltic country added that since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, Estonia had already transferred military aid to Ukraine in the amount of more than €1 billion.
Previously, a hygiene and laundry system for the Ukrainian military was transferred to Ukraine from Estonia. It consists of three vehicles and can serve up to 400 military personnel in a week. The system can be transported, disguised from the enemy, and deployed separately.
On December 1, it was reported that the governments of Estonia, the Netherlands, and Norway had agreed to transfer an additional Role II-type mobile hospital to Ukraine.
The mobile hospital itself will be provided by the Estonian side, while Norway and the Netherlands will contribute funds to ensure that the field hospital is at the disposal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The cooperation of the three countries will also include the purchase of container ships and trailers, sanitary, warehouse and living modules. It also covers the purchase of the medical supplies for the modernization of the Role II-type mobile hospital, which will be donated to Ukraine.
