The Elektrovypryamlyach-ZSP factory, which manufactures products for the Russian defense industry, is on fire in Saransk, Russia.

It is noted that on the eve of the fire, a drone attack threat was announced in the region.

According to official data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Mordovia, the fire engulfed one of the workshops of the instrument-making plant. The area of the fire is 150 square meters.

The plant’s production lines manufacture critically important power electronics: rectifiers, inverters, power supplies, and converters.

According to available data, the fire broke out directly on the industrial site of the enterprise.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that on February 18, 2026, after a morning attack by strike drones in Cheboksary, Russia, a fire broke out in the area of the VNIIR-Progress defense plant.
