In the capital of Belarus, an unidentified drone reportedly crashed at night due to the effects of electronic warfare measures.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus reported on this in the morning.
They stated that around 2 a.m. on July 29, air defense forces detected the flight of an unknown aerial object in the airspace of the Republic of Belarus.
It was identified as an unmanned aerial vehicle.
According to the report, it was moving toward the city of Minsk, the country’s capital, and a decision was made to stop its flight.
“As a result of the impact of electronic warfare measures, at 02:33 the drone crashed near building No. 72 on Matusevich Street,” the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus reported.
It is currently stated that there were no casualties as a result of the incident. An investigation is underway.
Additional measures are also being taken to strengthen control over airspace usage.
From the official photo released, it is difficult to identify the model of the drone that was suppressed by electronic warfare means over Minsk.
On the morning of July 28, an unidentified Shahed-type drone was detected near Vilnius, having entered from Belarusian territory.
