Drones Strike Russian Technopark in Zelenograd

In Zelenograd, a district of Moscow, drones attacked the Elma Technopark on the morning of May 28.

Following the explosion at the site, a fire broke out, reports Astra, sharing eyewitness videos.

At least one building sustained damage as a result of the explosion and fire.

The main activities of the Elma-Zelenograd Technopark (covering a total area of 60,000 square meters), which brings together over 150 companies, include producing electronic equipment, manufacturing control and measuring instruments, and optical devices.

Additionally, the technopark is involved in material processing, scientific research, information technology, and other related fields.

Russian Telegram channels began reporting about explosions and drone flights in the Zelenograd area closer to the morning of May 28.

Local residents heard explosions and the operation of air defense systems.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that, according to preliminary information, there were no serious damages or casualties as a result of repelling the drone attack in Zelenograd.

Zelenograd is one of the twelve administrative districts of Moscow, located 37 kilometers northwest of the city center. It is considered the leading scientific and industrial center for Russian electronics and microelectronics.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that during the previous night, from 9:00 p.m. on May 27 to 7:00 a.m. on May 28, air defense systems allegedly shot down 296 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

The drones were reportedly intercepted over the territories of the Moscow region, as well as Bryansk, Belgorod, Vladimir, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula regions.

Also, early on the morning of Wednesday, May 28, Ukrainian strike drones Liutyi attacked the Russian drone manufacturing plant Kronshtadt in the Moscow suburb of Dubna. The video from locals captured the impacts.
