On the morning of December 31, drones attacked the Rosrezerv facility known as the Temp Combine in the city of Rybinsk, the Yaroslavl region, Russia.
The attack was reported by the Exilenova+ Telegram channel. Yaroslavl region governor Mikhail Yevrayev also confirmed that the region had been targeted by drones.
The Temp Combine is a federal state facility within Russia’s Rosrezerv system and is used for fuel storage.
Based on the released videos, a large-scale fire broke out at the local oil depot.
Rybinsk is located within the Volga River system, has railway connections, and serves as a transit and logistics hub.
This makes the city’s oil depot an important site for the storage and distribution of petroleum products in Russia’s northeastern region.
In addition, Ukrainian drones struck oil infrastructure in the coastal city of Tuapse in southern Russia.
