On the night of May 2, kamikaze drones attacked the energy infrastructure in the Oryol region of the Russian Federation.

The drones reportedly attacked Glazunovsky and Sverdlovsk districts, where they damaged energy infrastructure.

Several buildings were left without power as a result of the attack. No other damage or casualties were reported.

Militarnyi previously reported on the attack on the Oryol region in March. Then, on the night of Tuesday, March 12, an explosion and fire occurred at an oil depot in the Russian city of Oryol as a result of a drone attack.

Drone attacks on Russian infrastructure

As previously reported, drones attacked oil refineries in the Ryazan and Voronezh regions of Russia.

A fire broke out at the Ryazan oil refinery. Pavel Malkov, governor of the region, confirmed the attack.

On the night of April 27, drones attacked the oil infrastructure in the Krasnodar Krai.

The local authorities later confirmed that there were 9 attacks on the reservoir park and rectification column. Due to the built-up protection system, the reservoir park was not damaged, and the rectification column suffered damage.

On the night of April 24, drones had attacked a metallurgical plant in Russian Lipetsk.

Two drones hit the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, which is one of the largest in Russia.

It is reported that due to the night attack, the oxygen station building was partially destroyed, which provided the production of the necessary amount of compressed air required for technological processes.

On the same day, it was reported that as a result of the UAV attack, fire had arisen at the fuel and energy facilities in the Smolensk region.

Vasily Anokhin, governor of the region, reported in the morning that fuel and energy facilities in the Smolensk and Yartsevsky districts were on fire.

On April 20, it was reported that strike drones had flown into the facilities of the fuel and energy complex in Kardymovo, Smolensk Region, in Russia.

The ignition of the tank with fuels and lubricants was provoked at the facility.
