Strike drones destroyed a depot with Kh-22/32 missiles and a technical facility for their maintenance during an attack on the Shaykovka air base.
This is confirmed by satellite images published by the cyber community CyberBoroshno.
Drones attacked the airbase, where the Tu-22M3 strategic bombers are based, at night on March 31, 2025.
The strike damaged the airbase’s infrastructure, primarily destroying the Kh-22/32 missile preparation room, where the missiles were refueled and set up before launch.
As noted by the cyber community CyberBoroshno, the missiles require refueling with liquid fuel, but after the strike, according to satellite images, the stationary fueling stations disappeared.
Also, destroyed storage facilities for the supersonic Kh-22/32 missiles were observed at the airfield. One of them, located near the aircraft parking area, was severely damaged, according to the satellite images.
It should be noted that the object located there could not be identified at one of the aircraft parking spots. Visually, it seems there might be remnants of an aircraft in this spot, but it is also possible that these are remnants of a building.
The attack on the airbase took place on the night of March 30-31, 2025, at coordinates 54.228926, 34.374169.
At that time, local authorities reported 24 drones targeting the air base, and according to them, all drones were successfully intercepted by air defense systems.
However, they did not provide any comments regarding the explosions heard on the airbase’s territory.
The airbase is home to the Tu-22M3 strategic bombers of the 52nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Russian Federation (military unit 33310), which is involved in missile strikes on Ukrainian territory with Kh-22/32 missiles.
It should be noted that Ukrainian long-range drones targeted this air base at least three times — in September 2024, August 2023, and October 2022.
