Ukrainian FP-1 kamikaze drones struck the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery, causing a massive fire at the facility.
This was reported by the CyberBoroshno community.
The attack took place on the night of March 28, 2026. At 2 a.m., a drone alert was issued in the region.
Subsequently, local residents began posting footage of the drones flying overhead, and later—of the impact on the refinery grounds.
Official authorities have not acknowledged the attack on the facility. Yaroslavl region Governor Mikhail Yevraev wrote on Telegram that the strike “damaged several residential buildings and a commercial facility.”
However, the official did not explain the cause of the massive fire at the refinery.
Meanwhile, NASA FIRMS satellites recorded abnormally high temperatures at the facility. According to monitoring data, the fire broke out at the plant at 2:54 a.m. and spread to cover a significant portion of the industrial zone.
It is worth noting that the oil refinery produces a wide range of petroleum products: from automotive gasoline to jet fuel and lubricants.
The plant’s customers include virtually all major enterprises in the Central and Northwestern regions of Russia, as well as airports, the Northern Railway Administration, and military-industrial complex facilities.
The refinery’s capacity allows it to process 13.6–15 million tons of crude oil per year.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that on the night of December 12, strike drones attacked an oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl.
It is reported that Ukrainian drones struck the oil refinery of PJSC Slavneft-YANOS, which is one of the largest in Russia.
A massive fire broke out on the plant’s premises following the strike.
