Ukrainian defense forces attacked the Tolyattikauchuk petrochemical plant in the city of Tolyatti, Samara region.
This was reported by the website Astra.
The attack on the chemical plant took place on the night of April 3–4, 2026. As a result of the strike, fires broke out in several locations on the plant’s grounds.
According to an analysis of photo and video materials by the Cyberboroshno community, the attacks were carried out by approximately ten An-196 Liutyi strike drones.
Given the locations of the fires, the strike hit Workshop D-12, where tanks containing 2,300 m³ of liquefied products are located (coordinates: 53.541967, 49.455069).
The fire also engulfed the area of the isobutane-isobutylene production facility (BK-2, BK-3, BK-4)—a key component of butyl rubber (coordinates: 53.540169, 49.463268).
The third target for Ukrainian drones was Workshop D-1 with tanks for liquefied products and liquids (‘Indigo’), from which isobutane is delivered to the plant for further processing (coordinates: 53.538607, 49.474758).
Community members note: due to the significant number of drones and the limited number of available personnel, the actual consequences may turn out to be more serious, as may the number of affected workshops.
The Togliattikauchuk plant is one of the largest in the region. According to the company, it produces four grades of rubber, hydrocarbon fractions, organic synthesis products, and gasoline additives. Synthetic rubbers account for about a quarter of the Russian market.
It is worth noting that the KuibyshevAzot chemical plant is located next to Togliattikauchuk. On March 30, drones also attacked this facility.
This is the second strike on chemical plants in Togliatti in a month—the previous attack took place on March 11. KuibyshevAzot specializes in nitrogen chemistry and polymer production, manufacturing ammonia, urea, and ammonium nitrate for agriculture.
