Strike drones targeted the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery in the Samara region.

According to their sources, the attack took place overnight, with local residents hearing a powerful explosion and witnessing a glowing light in the night sky.
Videos from surveillance cameras, showing the moment of the strike, are spreading across the internet.
In the comments, locals pinpointed the street at coordinates 53.087380657416745, 49.96747879641029, where the video surveillance has recorded, and identified the approximate location of the strike.
At the same time, the Telegram channel Supernova+ reported that the strike had hit the company’s hydro-treatment unit.
Currently, there are no official comments from the Russian authorities. Russian media report that there are no damages or fires on the company’s premises at this time.
Despite this, the local residents are sharing photos showing smoke from burning petroleum products. The facility is located approximately 700–1000 km from the Ukrainian state border.
The Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, part of the Rosneft Oil Company. The coordinates of the enterprise are 53.094097055446476, 49.913826099320815.
The facility has an annual capacity of 8.8 million tons of crude oil (about 176,000 barrels per day), making it one of the ten largest oil refineries in Russia by processing volume.
In 2023, according to industry sources, the refinery processed about 3.687 million tons of oil, accounting for 1.34% of the total oil refining volume in Russia. From this amount, the following products were produced:
Militarnyi previously reported that in March 2024, strike drones had hit the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery.
The attack caused some oil processing units, such as the AVT-4, to shut down, which reduced the output of oil products.
