Strike drones attacked a chemical plant in the Ivanovo region, which supplies products for the production of rocket engines.

Astra released a video showing the moment of the strike.

According to Astra, at least two strike drones hit the logistics warehouse of the Dmitrievsky Chemical Plant.

The attack took place on the night of May 26, 2025, when local residents reported loud rumbling and unusual sounds in the sky.

Meanwhile, the Operational Headquarters of the Ivanovo region confirmed that the fragments of the UAV had been found fallen within the industrial zone of the facility.

The plant is located at coordinates 57.423358177664625, 42.124172866243775, roughly 800 kilometers from the Ukrainian state border.

While the factory is primarily known as one of Russia’s largest producers of chemical and petrochemical products for the civilian market, it also plays a significant role in supporting Russia’s defense-industrial base.

Primarily, the enterprise supplies its products to the Federal State Enterprise Kazan State Owned Gunpowder Plant — a defense enterprise located in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan. The plant specializes in the production of gunpowder, explosives, and related products for both military and civilian purposes.

The plant also supplies products to the Federal State Enterprise Kamensky Combine, including industrial explosives (TNT, hexogen, octogen), chemical components for ammunition, polymers, and special dual-use chemical substances. This contract is valued at RUB 50,234,266. Additionally, the plant was struck by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in December 2024.

Militarnyi previously reported that in Russia, strike drones had hit the Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, the Tula region.

The Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, the Tula region, is one of the largest chemical plants in Russia. The plant specializes in the production of nitrogen fertilizers, including ammonia, urea, and other chemical products.
