Drones attack anti-aircraft missile production in Izhevsk

Strike drones attacked the production facilities of the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol.

Russian media and local residents reported on this.

According to eyewitnesses, the attack probably took place at the site of the 300th production facility of the Kupol plant, where, according to them, strike drones are manufactured.

At the same time, according to the official information of the head of Udmurtia, the attack hit the “factory shop” of the enterprise.

“We should have thought of this earlier when the drones were producing right in the center of the city,” a local resident shared after a drone hit the plant.

The Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol specializes in the production of air defense systems and is engaged in the production of new Tor systems, as well as maintaining the Osa air defense system, production of anti-aircraft missiles, spare parts, and Harpy-A1 strike drones.

An attack on this enterprise could reduce the rate of production of military products that the Russians actively use for the war in Ukraine.

The facility itself is located 1,260 kilometers from the border with Ukraine and is already a reachable target for certain Ukrainian long-range weapons.

“According to preliminary information, an unmanned aerial vehicle fell. Windows were smashed in the production facility, but there was no serious damage. The staff has been evacuated. One person was injured.” Alexander Brechalov, head of Udmurtia, stated.

Militarnyi previously reported that on the night of October 22, 2024, drones attacked the Russian enterprise Biokhim in the Tambov region and an industrial enterprise in the Voronezh region.

A day prior, on October 21, 2024, drones attacked the Russian microelectronics plant Kremny El in Bryansk, which stopped production after an attack by Ukrainian UAVs.

The attack on the plant’s production and administrative buildings disrupted the power supply, damaged special energy facilities, and interrupted production chains.
