The deliveries of unmanned aerial vehicles from the Drone Coalition to Ukraine will begin in January 2025.

British Deputy Defense Secretary Luke Pollard stated this during a speech to members of the House of Commons, according to European Pravda.

It is about drones of various types, and the supply of “tens of thousands” of drones is expected.

Luke Pollard noted that the UK continued to cooperate with countries within the Ramstein format.

“I can confirm that a significant change is coming in January – we will start delivering tens of thousands of drones through the maritime and unmanned systems coalitions that the UK is leading with our partners Norway and Latvia,” Pollard said.

The UK is also cooperating not only with the Ramstein countries to increase the pace of arms supplies to Ukraine and to increase the cost of war for Russia.

The Deputy Defense Secretary did not give any other details.

In 2024, the Drone Coalition allocated €1.8 billion to support Ukraine.

In total, the conditional association includes 17 countries: Australia, the UK, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, and Ukraine.

The goal of the Coalition is to ensure industrial production of drones and expand the drone industry to create an asymmetric technological advantage over the enemy on the battlefield in accordance with Ukraine’s needs.

The Drone Coalition has a joint fund for the purchase of drones, which regularly holds tenders for innovative products on a competitive basis.

Ukrainian drone companies were the second largest number of bidders in the second series of tenders announced by the UK as part of the Drone Coalition.
