The Russian army has again engaged the North Korean military in assaults in the Kursk region.
The press service of the 47th Mechanized Brigade reported on this.
Units of the 47th Mechanized Brigade, together with adjacent units, stopped a massive assault on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the Kursk region, where the enemy used new tactics.
According to the brigade, while the enemy had previously attacked with armored vehicles, this time, the assault took place without vehicles, with only infantry.
The enemy started preparations for the assault and moved into position late at night. The assault itself started at midnight and lasted all night. The enemy attacked simultaneously from several directions with large infantry groups.
Enemy infantry attacks took place in several waves, which were destroyed by artillery and drones. The assault lasted for about 16 hours, as a result of which the Ukrainian Defense Forces fought off the enemy attacks.
“We went through fields and open areas. The enemy stormtroopers were also brought by buggy and unloaded into narrow landings where the enemy was hiding under the trees,” the 47th Brigade’s press service said.
To fight off this assault, the 47th Brigade engaged all units and used available munitions. Both artillery with cluster munitions and armored vehicles, including Bradley, were used against the enemy.
In this assault, the enemy suffered significant losses, which amounted to at least a company of manpower.
Militarnyi previously reported that the North Korean military had again started to participate in assaults on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kursk region.
According to the President of Ukraine, the fighting in Russia is of great importance because they distracted about 60 thousand Russian troops in the Kursk region.
This means that these forces have not been redeployed to Pokrovsk and other areas of the Donetsk region.
