DIU Attacked Russian Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade in Krasnodar Krai

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine conducted a sabotage operation in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation, killing and wounding dozens of Russian soldiers.

This was reported to Militarnyi by sources in the intelligence agency.

In the morning, on August 8, two explosions occurred near the checkpoint of the military unit of the 90th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade, located in the village of Afipsky, Krasnodar Krai.

According to intelligence, at least 12 servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces were killed and dozens of invaders were wounded as a result of the sabotage. It is also reported that unnamed equipment had been destroyed.

Local telegram channels reported explosions around 11:00 a.m., calling the preliminary version an explosion of the car’s gas cylinder equipment.

Sources in the DIU note that information about the explosion due to a technical malfunction is being spread to conceal the fact of sabotage on the territory of the military unit. At the same time, the FSB is trying to remove references to the incident in the media and social networks.

According to intelligence, the soldiers of the 90th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade are involved in armed aggression against Ukraine in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia sectors.

According to open sources, the military unit is armed with Buk-M2 air defense systems.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine recently conducted another successful sabotage, blowing up a minibus with five invaders on the outskirts of occupied Melitopol.

The DIU reported that the minibus had belonged to the fighters of the Akhmat Special Forces, which was led by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

“As a result of the detonation, all five passengers were killed. The explosion also wounded two invaders who were in a neighboring car and destroyed a mobile electronic warfare complex,” the DIU said.

The Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov Special Regiment (or more generally, the Akhmat Special Forces) is an armed formation that operates as part of the National Guard of Russia and is formally subordinated to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
