The Defense Forces disclosed the details of the operation of the destruction of Russian radar stations in the occupied Crimea.

The details of the operation were presented by the founder of the Lasar’s group special forces Pavlo Yelizarov during a public interview at Defense Tech Valley 2025, which was attended by Militarnyi journalists.

The operation was carried out by the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center and the Lasar’s group special forces unit of the National Guard. The combat mission was performed on the night of July 1st to 2nd, 2025, near the village of Maiak in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

At the initial stage, the military received the satellite images of Russian military bases, where the positions of radar stations were clearly recorded.

After that, bomber drones were installed on maritime drones and sent in the direction of the Crimean coast. This plan allowed the aircraft to approach the target unnoticed and preserve battery power.

In the designated area, the bomber drones separated from the offshore platforms, successfully reached the Russian complexes and dropped explosives on them with high accuracy.

As a result of the operation, three important elements of the Russian air defense system were destroyed: RLM-M 55ZH6M ‘Nebo-M’ – 1 unit, RLM-D 55ZH6M ‘Nebo-M’ – 1 unit and command post of RLM 55ZH6M ‘Nebo-M’ – 1 unit. The Nebo-M radar is designed to detect aerodynamic and ballistic targets at medium and high altitudes for air and missile defense purposes.
