The Danish Emergency Management Agency has transferred 18 rescue lifts to Ukraine as part of its civil protection assistance.

The lifts were delivered in four batches between June and October.

Thanks to this assistance, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received 45-meter rescue lifts worth DKK 130 million.

The last batch of seven lifts from Denmark arrived in Ukraine last week.

The rescue lifts should be transferred to the regional emergency departments, where they can significantly enhance the ability to protect civilians and critical infrastructure.

The Danish Emergency Management Agency stated that the lifts will be used to rescue people from buildings after explosions and extinguish fires in high-rise buildings and other high-rise structures.

In August, Militarnyi reported that a Danish-Ukrainian tech startup is using robotics and neural networks to address the critical issue of demining Ukrainian lands.

Some of the technological solutions developed by the startup are already being produced and tested in Ukraine.

The developers claim that by using robotics and artificial intelligence, demining can be made faster, cheaper, and safer.

According to the company, the new solution can reduce the cost of demining one square meter to 10 cents and the time required to do so from 70 years to 12 years.

At the end of September, the Danish Defense Ministry announced that Denmark and Ukraine continue to purchase weapons through the Ukrainian defense industry for a total of DKK 4.2 billion ($600 million).

Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, together with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umierov and Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin, signed a defense protocol.
