The Danish Armed Forces have conducted large-scale exercises Arctic Light 2025 in and around Greenland.

More than 550 servicemen from NATO countries took part in the exercise, according to the UK Defense Journal.

The exercises lasted from September 9 to 19 and included elements of naval, ground, air and special forces.

Denmark deployed the HDMS Niels Juel frigate, F-16 fighters, helicopters, transport aircraft, and territorial defense units.

France sent a warship, an MRTT refueling aircraft, and mountain infantry with drones. Sweden, Norway and Germany have provided personnel, observers and logistical support. International forces are conducting live-fire, special operations and cold weather training.

The Danish F-16s flew from Kangerlussuaq and Pitouffick bases, while the French MRTTs provided aerial refueling.

Civil-military cooperation is another area of the exercise. A large-scale search and rescue exercise off the coast of Greenland tested the coordination between Allied militaries and the Greenlandic authorities.
