The Danish government and parliament made a decision to allocate funds to purchase additional weapons for Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of Denmark announced this.

Denmark will allocate 300 million DKK, which is equal to approximately $43 million.

“Ukraine’s struggle for freedom is also ours. That is why the government, together with the parties in the parliament, decided to allocate another 300 million DKK to Ukraine. The government will continue providing financial, military, and humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians,” Danish Defense Minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen emphasized.

These funds will be provided from the country’s Ministry of Defense budget and will be transferred to the British-led International Fund for Ukraine.

In the fall, it was also announced that Germany, along with Denmark and Norway, will finance the production and delivery of the Slovak 155-mm Zuzana 2 self-propelled guns for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zuzana 2 is a 155-mm wheeled self-propelled gun produced by the Slovak ZTS Special. This is an upgrade to the previous version of the Zuzana with the 155 mm caliber, which in turn, comes after the original model – the Czechoslovak vz.77 Dana. Due to the 52-caliber barrel length, as opposed to 45-caliber, the gun is capable of shooting at a maximum distance of up to 40 km.

The shipment of 16 Zuzana 2 self-propelled guns is planned for 2023.

In September, it was reported that the Ukrainian military would travel to Denmark for training.

In addition to exercises on the territory of the country, Denmark will participate in a British-led training project by delegating 130 Danish soldiers, who will act as instructors in various areas of exercises.

The Ukrainian military will also receive uniforms and winter clothing from Denmark.
