Russian propagandists who cover the war are demoralized and try to rationally explain to their audience the escape of the russian army from the Kyiv region.

Boris Rozhin (Colonel Cassad) tries to convince the russians that there is a plan of the General Staff of the russian Armed Forces being implemented. The attack on Kyiv aimed to disctract the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and the actual assault on the capital was not planned. Instead, the plan was to defeat the Ukrainian forces in Donbas. And now, according to that plan, this will happen. Although Rozhin does not seem to be very sure:

But if the task of defeating the Armed Forces on the Left Bank cannot be solved, then it is unlikely to be possible to say that everything is going according to plan. So we wait for the start of the operation and see how the goals set by General Staff will be implemented. I think we will get answers to all the questions in the coming month.

Igor Girkin, a former leader of russian terrorists in Donbas, despite the traditional critical assessment of the actions of the russian military and political leadership, sees rationality in the current activities.

Girkin believes that the very idea of attacking Kyiv and Chernihiv was based on a misconception about the possible rapid fall of Ukraine. Russian authorities expected that the Armed Forces would act “as back in 2014.” The russian troops had a task to move forward as quickly as possible without being tied to supplies and the rear. As a result, according to Girkin, they got stuck in battles in the Kyiv suburbs.

It became apparent that the assault on Kyiv was unrealistic. Therefore, the choice before the russians was as follows: either withdraw their forces from the region or wait until the Ukrainians destroyed them with counterattacks and artillery.

In the current situation, in my opinion, the command of the rf Armed Forces has made the only right decision. Because if leaving the occupied territory is still inevitable – it is better to do it without the defeat of your own troops.

The odious russian propagandist Alexander Kots could not explain why the russians left their positions. He stated that the army was being taken away “up behind the ribbon” (abroad). From a long and pompous post, we can only conclude that no one explains to Kots what is happening. However, he is trying to convince the audience that the russians still have a chance to win back in the future.

The war has just begun. We will understand later who is right and who is guilty. We need to draw conclusions and move on.

The author of the “Starshe Eddy” telegram channel continues the Kots’s narrative that “the war is just beginning.” The propagandist tries to establish the impression of a long and challenging further course of hostilities.

At the moment, the withdrawal of troops from Kyiv is a direct following of the military necessity, which is often on the diametrical pole of political expediency. I hope that we will continue following the military strategy without succumbing to the immediate and often harmful political desires.
